By creating an account and using AfterMatch, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using AfterMatch ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to use AfterMatch. We may request proof of age at any time. Accounts found to belong to users under 18 will be immediately terminated.

3. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

  • No objectionable, illegal, or inappropriate content of any kind
  • No harassment, bullying, or abusive behavior toward any user
  • Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent ban
  • We actively monitor and moderate user-generated content
  • Reports are reviewed and acted upon within 24 hours

4. Prohibited Content and Behavior

  • Illegal content; sexual content involving minors; explicit sexual content; nudity
  • Graphic violence or self-harm content; hate speech; harassment or bullying
  • Spam, scams, or phishing; impersonation of any person or entity
  • Sharing private information about others without their consent
  • Stalking; solicitation for illegal services; exploitation or manipulation
  • Evading bans by creating multiple accounts
  • Unauthorized commercial use of the platform

5. Content Moderation and Enforcement

  • Automated filtering for images, text, and behavior patterns
  • User reporting for messages, images, profiles, and behavior
  • 24-hour content review commitment
  • Actions: warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, permanent bans, law enforcement notification, and device-level bans

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post but grant AfterMatch a license to display it within the app. Do not post content you do not have the right to share.

7. Service Changes and Termination

Features may change or be discontinued at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to other users, to third parties, or to AfterMatch. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app settings.

8. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Virtual Items

AfterMatch offers optional paid features, including an ad-free subscription and consumable virtual items such as "Stars" that can be used for in-app features like gifts and boosts. All purchases are processed by the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play), not by AfterMatch directly.

  • Prices are displayed in the app before you complete a purchase and may vary by country, currency, and over time.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Virtual items and in-app currency ("Stars") have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable. They are licensed to you, not sold, and we may modify, manage, or discontinue them at any time.
  • Except where required by law, all purchases are final and non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by the applicable app store under its own policies. AfterMatch does not directly process refunds for app store purchases.
  • If your account is terminated for a violation of these Terms, you may lose access to any virtual items or subscription benefits without a refund.

9. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Our ad-free subscription is an auto-renewable subscription. By purchasing it, you agree to the following:

  • Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • Automatic renewal: The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Renewal charge: Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Managing your subscription: You can manage or cancel your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's account settings after purchase (Apple ID Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play Subscriptions on Android).
  • Free trials: If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Price changes: If we change the subscription price, we will notify you as required by the app store, and continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Full subscription details, including title, duration, and price, are shown at the point of purchase within the app.

10. Apple App Store Additional Terms (EULA)

If you download AfterMatch from the Apple App Store, these Terms serve as the end user license agreement (EULA) between you and AfterMatch, and the following also apply:

  • These Terms are between you and AfterMatch only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • The license granted to you is a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, or consumer protection claims.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AfterMatch does not conduct criminal background checks on users and does not guarantee the conduct or identity of any user. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and should exercise caution and good judgment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AfterMatch, its owners, and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AfterMatch, its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Please read this section carefully, as it affects your legal rights. Except where prohibited by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and you and AfterMatch waive the right to a trial by jury and the right to participate in a class action. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by contacting us at [email protected]. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking relief in small-claims court where available.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Except where local consumer-protection law provides otherwise, disputes not subject to arbitration will be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where AfterMatch operates.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
